Stockbridge + Light Painting.

No matter how hard you go searching for entertaining adventure in far-flung places, sometimes the most unexpectedly hilarious and fun experiences are just random spontaneous jaunts around your own hometown.

Burns Night.

I'll start with an admission: I'm not a fan of Robert Burns' work. I think it probably stems from being forced to memorise his poems in primary school, and recite them in front of the whole class (pretty sure I can't pronounce half of it now, never mind when I was seven). What I do like though, is food, and any excuse for a fancy meal is one I'll take.

Home. (+ Travel Bucket List)

Once in a blue moon, my mood and the weather align. Sometimes, I'll look outside and see rain, and be reassured that everyone - even the weather - has bad days.

Harry Potter Studio Tour!

One of the worst things about having such an overactive imagination constantly telling me what could go wrong is that even relatively simple things can be overwhelming. The Isle of Mull - Part One.

My husband and I don't have a car; in fact, I don't even have a driving licence. So when we got the opportunity to borrow one over the Christmas period, my husband suggested it would be the perfect opportunity to make a trip to a place I'd never been before: the Isle of Mull.

An Introduction.

Every year, when January 1st rolls around, I find myself making promises that I have no intention of keeping. "I won't spend so much money", "I'll eat healthier food and exercise more", "I'll learn a new language". But by January 3rd (if I'm lucky!) all these promises are in tatters as I spend money I don't have on Domino's pizza that I don't need, and watch Pointless rather than doing anything remotely cultural.
