The Blogger Tag.

The wonderful Libby from Love, Libby nominated me for this lil tag, which is essentially a little get to know you Q&A for bloggers. As we all know I love a tag, so I couldn't resist. Thanks for the nomination Libby!

1: How tall are you?
I'm 5'2". So I'm short but not that short. In school my friends used to constantly go on about it when they were like 5'4" themselves, weirdos. It only sucks because 'regular' jeans or trousers are about a foot too long haha.

2: Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?
I really don't have any talents, never mind hidden ones. Perhaps just the ability to get through a degree without doing any work, that was quite talented.

3: What's your biggest blog-related pet peeve?
Automated DMs! I just hate the let down of thinking someone wants to tell me some juicy gossip and instead it's a message full of links to every website you've ever been on. Stop acting like one of those mailing list emails I don't remember signing up for, otherwise you'll get the same treatment - straight into my junk mail and I'll unfollow you.

Also people who follow/unfollow to make their numbers look good. I have Crowdfire, I know who you are.

4: What's your biggest non-blog related pet peeve?
Honestly this is tragic, but it's when people write 'alot'. That's not a word. You wouldn't say 'alittle' would you?

I also hate when my husband sweeps the floor but just shoves it all into a corner. You've just rearranged dirt, congratulations.

5: What's your favourite song?
'This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)' by Talking Heads or 'Let It Be' by The Beatles. Also seeing as it's Christmas (well it is in my world anyway, soz) I need to mention 'Fairytale of New York', obv.

6: What's your favourite social media website?
I love them all! I'm most active on Twitter but I post every day on Instagram too and I've really rekindled my love for it - although it's not the typical blogger grid of flatlays and coffees. I wish I could manage that look but instead it's mainly pictures of my cats.

7: What's your favourite way to spend your free time when you're alone?
Recently all I've done with my entire life is spend hours at a time in the bath. I put some sort of Drag Race related video on my laptop and just sit there until my skin basically falls off. It's great.

8: What's your favourite junk food?
Oh man, what a question. It's so hard to pick just one. Chips probably, anything with potato is a win in my book. But also pizza, chocolate, crisps... basically all.

9: Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?
I have three pets. I have two cats: Levi who is 12 and is a tuxedo cat (black and white), and Millie who is nearly three and is a very evil tabby cat. They are very lazy, eat a lot and basically live the dream. Levi likes to stand on laptops, and Millie likes to bite and claw me, Blair, Levi, anyone and anything she can.

I also have a leopard gecko called Fluffy. She's around 4 years old, but lately she's been really ill. She basically completely stopped eating and lost a lot of weight, to the point I was scared to look in her tank every day in case she'd died overnight. Over the past three days she's finally started eating again though, so hopefully that's a good sign.

10: What are your number one favourite non fiction and fiction books?
I only ever seem to read biographies in terms of non-fiction, so my favourite is probably 'Heavier Than Heaven' by Charles R. Cross. It's about Kurt Cobain, who I was obsessed with as a teenager, and when I bought it the man in Borders (R.I.P. Borders) said "You know he dies in the end" which I think about every time I see the book. I also like basically any books about serial killers cause I'm weird.

Fiction books I love include 'The Book Thief' by Markus Zusak and 'To Kill A Mockingbird' by Harper Lee. At the moment I'm trying to make my way through the Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) books and I'm really enjoying them too.

11: What's your favourite beauty product or tool?
Favourite tool has got to be a Beauty Blender, how did I live my life before them?

Product is much harder! I love a lot of Lush skincare, I am really enjoying using Jeffree Star lipsticks, and I love Nars Sheer Glow. Realistically though, the product I use the most is Illamasqua's Masquara.

12: When were you last embarrassed? What happened?
Honestly I get embarrassed over next to nothing. I think the last real time though was accidentally liking a really old Instagram picture of someone I used to know... whoops.

13: If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Irn Bru. Pretty sure I'd die very quickly, but what a way to go.

14: What's your favourite movie?
I have a really short attention span so finding a film I can sit through without getting bored is tough. I love Breakfast at Tiffany's and Roman Holiday. Also all the classics like Mean Girls, Legally Blonde etc. I'm really excited about the Trainspotting sequel coming out though!

15: What was your favourite lesson in school and why?
I liked Geography because my dad was a Geography teacher so I already knew quite a lot of it. I took Photography in 6th year (you'd never tell from the state of my photos on here, soz) and that was the most fun class.

16: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I'd like to live in Italy for a while, I love the food and the culture so that would be nice. But for the rest of my life? Nah. I can't really ever see myself leaving Scotland for good. I think I'd like to move to a little farm cottage in the Highlands or on an island though so I could have loads of animals.

17: PC or Mac?
My whole childhood we always had Mac computers, and I loved them. But then suddenly that trend stopped when they started getting super popular and really expensive, haha! I would love a Macbook one day, but at the moment I have basically the cheapest Netbook PC World sells.

18: Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse? (Or kind gesture from a friend?)
My husband basically bought me all the equipment for an at-home office and photography studio last week, and then set it up for me. I'm in here right now and it's so cute! I am very grateful that he cares so much about me to do something like this.

19: Favourite celebrity?
My favourite is James Gandolfini, but seeing as he's dead that might be cheating. Does Attenborough count? What a legend. I also love Andy Murray cause he's got this really dry Dunblanian sense of humour (my husband is also from Dunblane) that the press clearly don't get, and it cracks me up.

20: What blogger do you secretly want to be friends with?
Oh my god so many! First and foremost Rachel, which isn't really much of a secret. But basically anyone I follow and chat to is a babe I want to be friends with, especially Vee, Tori, Abbey, Gwennan, Mel and Jess cause they are awesome. Also Rebecca who has been on a blogging break for a few months, I miss her!

21: Who is your biggest inspiration?
Tough question. I don't find anyone in particular overly inspiring; I find the human-ness of their actions in response to a situation inspiring. It's hard to explain - soz.

22: What is your favourite blog to read?
I love all the blogs from question 20, but I honestly make an effort to follow everyone I follow on Twitter on Bloglovin (shameless plug for my Bloglovin here) so I do like to try and catch a few posts from lots of different people! I like variety and seeing different people's takes on things.

23: What is your favourite high street shop?
Now that I don't live in Edinburgh I can say Lush (hahaha I'm so snarky, whoops). I also love Paperchase, and Boots cause yay make up. I could (and do) spend a fortune in all of these shops.

24: Are you in education or do you work?
I currently don't do either. Judge away, I know people really look down on me for this so go ahead. But just FYI I'm not claiming any benefits so don't hit me with the shite patter about paying for me to watch tv.

25: One thing you are proud of?
Recently, the thing I'm proud of is completing Blogtober. Sounds dumb but it was good to kind of challenge myself, even in such a minor way. Overall, I'm most proud I got through my degree. Even if I did have to restart a year, I didn't give up.

I'm supposed to nominate people here, but I've already mentioned all my faves in question 20, so guys, you're all nominated! If anyone else wants to do this then please let me know so I can see your answers!
