Beauty Haul from Chemist-4-U.*

chemist4u haul

I spend a large proportion of my day online browsing beauty products. So when I was given the opportunity to turn browsing into shopping, I couldn't resist. I was given £30 to spend on Chemist-4-U, which was extremely exciting for me as I'd seen one of my favourite bloggers, Jenny, get a load of goodies when she worked with them on her own postChemist-4-u is an online pharmacy that sells beauty, skincare, toiletries, fragrances, dental and sexual wellbeing products, while also offering an online prescription service, making it possible to have your medications delivered straight to your door. Pretty much everything you could possibly need in one place - ideal!

Oral-B 3D White Luxe Perfection toothpaste

Unfortunately, this large array of available products did make it pretty hard for me to decide what I was going to spend my money on. In the beginning, I tried to be quite sensible and stick to practical things, so the first thing I put in my basket was this Oral-B 3D White Luxe Perfection toothpaste (£3.14). I'll be honest, the reason I was so drawn to this was that I'd seen Zoella rave about the 3D White Luxe range in one of her favourites videos. Her teeth are blindingly white, and mine are... well, not. But this stuff is actually really good. I've not been using it for long enough to make a full judgement, but I would definitely agree that it has helped whiten my teeth noticeably in a short time.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

Sticking with sensible essentials, I picked up a travel size Batiste Dry Shampoo in the Fruity and Cheeky Cherry scent (£1.41). I don't use dry shampoo often enough to warrant buying a big bottle, but I do like to have one in my bag in case of emergencies. I've tried a few dry shampoos thanks to beauty boxes and Batiste are the best I've used. This also smells divine, I'm a sucker for a cherry scent.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Daily Skin Therapy

As winter is well and truly setting in, I decided to get the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Daily Skin Therapy (£3). Again, this was highly influenced - I'd been quietly craving Palmer's products since I read Lauren's review of her favourite skincare bits. This body moisturiser is gorgeous - it has the most heavenly scent, sinks into my skin quickly and leaves me feeling soft and hydrated. This is a lifesaver for the colder months.

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Skin Balancing Starter Kit

Okay so here's where I went off-piste a bit. After I'd settled on some body-care, it was only natural to look at something for my face, right? And that thinking, my friends, is what lead me to the Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Skin Balancing Starter Kit (£11.99). I was very excited by this, as apart from the 8 Hour Cream I haven't tried any Elizabeth Arden skincare. If I'd been paying more attention and hadn't been in a giddy haze I'd have realised that 'balancing' meant this was for combination skin. I have pretty dry skin. Actually, though, this whole set is working really well for me. It contains an exfoliating cleanser, a toner, a serum and a moisturiser. If this was just the cleanser I think it would be too drying for me, but the toner and serum are gorgeous. I'm still using this so I can't say how much difference it's made, but my skin does feel very soft and my complexion looks brighter which is not something to sniff at in December!

Calvin Klein luxury lipsticks

Lastly, here's where I definitely veered away from 'sensible' into 'treat yo self'. I picked up a 5 pack of Calvin Klein luxury lipsticks (£9.99). The colours were random so I didn't find out what shades I was getting until they arrived - I love a surprise! From left to right in the above photo, I received Delightful - a bright baby pink, Orange Too - a bright orange-red, Cosmopolitan - a deep pink-red with a hint of coral, First Kiss - a pretty pink-nude, and Victorious - a deep burgundy-brown. I'm not entirely sure I could pull most of these off at this time of the year, but I will (attempt to) rock them in the spring and summer. The formula itself is very hydrating and moisturising, definitely more of a sheen than a fully opaque matte. It's actually very impressive with how well it stays in place though - I really expected this to end up all over my face but I haven't noticed that at all. It doesn't bleed either which I am very pleasantly surprised by. There is, of course, some transfer when you eat or drink but it's to be expected from this kind of formula.

chemist4u haul

Overall I am absolutely ecstatic with my haul from Chemist-4-U. Everything was so reasonably priced and the selection was great. They even sorted out an issue I'd had with my order in next to no time so I feel very confident in their customer service too.

I'd like to thank the wonderful Hannah of Every1 PR for arranging all this for me, she's an absolute star!

What do you like the look of from my haul? What kind of things would you have treated yourself to?
*This was a collaborative post in which I was gifted items of my choice. All opinions are, of course, my own and completely honest.

  1. I can't believe you got all of those products for under £30, that is amazing! I had no idea you could get brands like Elizabeth Arden and Calvin Klein from an online drugstore, that's really raising the stakes on the high street. I have combination skin so the Elizabeth Arden kit sounds ideal for me, I shall have to investigate further :) X

  2. I've used chemist 4 u in the past for more pharmacy based items and didn't think about using them for beauty type things, but it seems like you got some lovely bits. I particularly love the lipsticks, what a pretty range of colours. Essentially two quid each as well, which sets my bargain alert off!
