Exploring Bristol with National Express.*

bristol harbourside waterfront river avon

I've visited quite a lot of places in the UK, but one place that I've always had my eye on but never managed to get to is Bristol. I don't know how this is possible - at some point or another all three of my cousins have lived there, so I have no real excuse for not visiting. Last week that finally changed, and I made my way south to my new favourite city.

Comparison Is The Thief Of Joy.

snowdrops blogging comparison

I feel like people are going to take this the wrong way, so it's a risky post to publish - but after reading Rachel's post on differences in blogosphere opinions I'm doing it anyway. Just give me the benefit of the doubt, and read the whole thing before you subtweet...!

Blog Tour || Something Changed by Matthew Williams - Book Review

While I do tend to read quite a lot, one area that I seem to neglect is non-fiction. So when the opportunity came to be involved in the blog tour for the non-fiction, self-help/autobiography hybrid Something Changed, I was very excited to take part.

Blog Tour || Prosecco and Promises by A.L. Michael - Book Review

I know they tell you that you should never judge a book by it's cover, but in the case of Prosecco and Promises by A.L. Michael I have to admit, I did. I thought I knew exactly what this book would be like. Turns out, I was totally wrong.

Blog Tour || Dark Game by Rachel Lynch - Book Review

Some people take an easygoing, funny, light read with them when they go on holiday. Not me - I've been reading the gritty, gripping Dark Game by Rachel Lynch, and it's had me hooked!

Does My Blog Need To Be Useful?

berwick upon tweed bridge

I adore blogs. I love reading them, getting to know the person behind them, learning what makes them tick. They are all beautifully unique and crafted from a place of pure passion. It might seem like running a blog is a case of just having access to a laptop and the internet, but the effort that goes into these babies shouldn't be underestimated. It's a hobby that involves a lot of long hours and a lot of hard work.

Please Stop Commenting On My Body.

As you probably know, I'm currently on holiday in Antigua. That's not entirely relevant, I just wanted to brag again (kidding). In the run up to this trip, I've panicked and had anxiety over a lot of things but there was one aspect I didn't realise would cause me quite so much hassle: my body.

A Little Life Update.

antigua

I don't want to induce envy or make anyone hate me, but while I write this I am currently sitting by a private pool, in the beautiful 27 degree heat of February in Antigua. I may or may not be 'living my best life'. I may or may not also end up sunburnt in a matter of minutes, but that's neither here nor there.

Wonderland Makeup Review.*

wonderland makeup review

I'm not a beauty blogger by any stretch of the imagination, but makeup is one of my favourite things to test and review on my blog. So I was really excited to receive a few items from Wonderland Makeup and find out more about this brand as they were totally new to me.

The Year Ahead.

I am very grateful to Past Me for starting this little blog so close to the beginning of the year. It means that today, on my second blogging anniversary, I can look forward to another year of blogging with almost an entire calendar year ahead too. There's something oddly satisfying about that.

Photowall Canvas Print Review.*

photowall canvas art wall review

Something I always notice when I go to other people's houses is that they invariably have photographs of themselves or their loved ones displayed. Both mine and my husband's parents particularly have collages of photos or framed shots all over the shop. It's a bit strange, then, that this hasn't been something we've continued in our own home.
